In latest news from Uttarakhand, the district magistrate Mayur Dixit convened a public hearing programme at the Rehabilitation Directorate, New Tehri to review the rehabilitation cases related to the Tehri Dam. Over 90 rehabilitation-related cases were registered. The Tehri MLA Kishore Upadhyay who was also present said that
the meeting had been called to resolve the pending rehabilitation complaints. He further said that the status of the pending rehabilitation cases in the High Court would be ascertained and decisions would be taken in those cases where consensus had been reached. He added that they would ensure that every eligible person would get the benefit.
DM said that the rehabilitation cases were being disposed expeditiously.
