Pahalgam massacre: Congress demands strict action against terrorists

A condolence meeting was organised by the Uttarakhand Congress on Wednesday to condemn the Pahalgam incident in Jammu and Kashmir in which innocent tourists were massacred by the terrorists on Tuesday. The PCC president Mahara said that the Pahalgam terrorist attack is highly deplorable and is an act of cowardice. The LoP in Vidhan Sabha Arya said that the whole country stands united during this time of crisis. State co-in-charge Surendra Sharma said that the government should initiate a stringent action against the terrorists. The vice president Dhasmana said that apart from taking strict action against the terrorists the government should clarify as to why there was no security arrangement at a place where more than two thousand tourists had gathered.   He said that the attack shows that the intelligence agencies were asleep.
