Panch Puja starts at Badrinath before winter closure

In the latest news from Uttarakhand, the panch puja process- a prelude to the six-month winter closure of the revered Badrinath Dham- has started. According to the priests working at the shrine, the portals will be shut at 9.17 PM on November 17. On the first day of panch puja, puja was held at Ganesha temple in the day and the portals of the temple were closed in the evening.
Meanwhile, 13, 82,000 pilgrims have visited the shrine till November 12 since the portals were opened on May 12.
