The State government has appointed senior officer of the Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Vinay Shankar Pandey as the new Commissioner of Garhwal. He would replace Sushil Kumar who superannuated on June 30.
Pandey would continue to hold his present assignments of secretary to the chief minister, secretary Industrial development, micro, medium and small industries and investment commissioner of the State.
In a late night order, the government also reshuffled district magistrates of Rudrapruyag and Tehri districts. The DM of Rudraprayag, Mayur Dikshit would be the new DM of Tehri while DM of Tehri Saurabh Gaharwar would be the new DM of Rudraprayag.
