Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s younger brother Pankaj Modi reached Badrinath Dham on Wednesday. According to the sources, he reached the Dham via helicopter in the morning and offered prayers at the temple. The Ganesh temple has closed and the portals of the Dham will reportedly close on November 20 for winters. A religious ceremony is performed during the opening and closing of the Badrinath Temple. The closing of the Dham had started with the Panch Pujas on Tuesday.
The portals of the Kedarnath and Yamnotri Dham had closed on November 6 while the portals Gangotri Dham had closed on November 5. Every year the shrines see a huge crowd of pilgrims visiting from India as well as abroad.
