G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology is organising a series of events to commemorate the 139th birth anniversary of Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant. The series began with a badminton competition inaugurated by the vice chancellor Shivendra Kumar Kashyap and dean of the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Devendra Kumar.
Addressing the students on this occasion, the VC provided a brief overview of the life of Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant and exhorted those present to follow his path.
The Pant Gaurav Samaroh will continue till September 10, under which various programmes like badminton, volleyball, chess, photography, table tennis, debate, painting competition, singing competition and dance competition will be organised. Notably, September 10 marks GB Pant’s birth anniversary.
