PANTNAGAR: Uttarakhand Council for Biotechnology (UCB) celebrated the 139TH birth anniversary of the great freedom fighter and Bharat Ratna, Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, with the council’s scientists, officers, and employees having expressed their views on his life’s struggle, his contribution to the country’s independence, and his important role in nation-building.
Presiding over the commemorative programme, the director, UCB, Sanjay Kumar said that they had a lot to learn from him, particularly his honesty, duty, loyalty and dedication towards national service. He also recalled Pant’s special contribution in the cause of equality.
Kumar along with the council’s scientists paid floral tributes to the legendary leader.
