In latest news from Uttarakhand, while sharing details of the 117th Kisan Mela slated from March 7 to 10 at the initiative of the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, the director, Extension Education, Jitendra Kwatra said that various programmes and competitions have been lined up for the farmers on all the four days of the fair. An exhibition and competition of fruits, flowers, vegetables and preserved substances would be organised on March 7-8, he said, adding that an auction of hybrid calves would be organised at Nagla. Besides, a fish production exhibition and competition and farmers’ interaction programme will be organised.
The closing and prize distribution ceremony would be held on the last day of the fair on March 10 in Gandhi Hall, he further informed.
