Patanjali to become a global resolution centre, says Pradhan

Union Education minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that Patanjali will become a global centre for ‘resolution’ in the future, stating that it will lead in treatment and education in the world. He opined that Patanjali is not simply an institution but an ideology which represents Bharat and plays an important role in nation building. Appreciating the works done by Swami Ramdev and Acharya Balkrishna in Yoga and Ayurveda respectively, he said that this is nothing less than a movement. Pradhan was speaking as the chief guest at Abhiyudav, the annual function of the University of Patanjali.
Pradhan opined that Patanjali is serving the nation by merging the ancient traditions of Bharat and modernity. He said that Yoga and Ayurveda are needed by the world. “Yoga is not limited now to only the aged and ascetics. There is hardly any village or locality in the nation today where Yoga has not reached,” he said.
Addressing the gathering, Ramdev said that the Patanjali institution is moving forward on the base of principles established by sages and ancient traditions. “We dream of making the University of Patanjali an establishment even bigger than Oxford and Cambridge. We will work to expand this university globally in a major way and strive to make it among the best across the world,” he said.
The university’s vice chancellor Balkrisha informed in detail about the university and its associate institution Patanjali Research Foundation’s works. He averred that Patanjali is also doing considerable work to elicit focus on native Indian heritage.
Addressing his views on the occasion, the State’s Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat appreciated the works being done by the University of Patanjali and the Patanjali Research Foundation.
