Uttarakhand Premier League (UPL) announced on Wednesday that Patanjali would be the title sponsor of the league’s inaugural season to be held from September 15 to 22 at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Dehradun.
The Cricket Association of Uttarakhand secretary Mahim Verma said that their support reflected their commitment to the people of Uttarakhand and cricket.
The chief managing director, Patanjali Ram Bharat said that this is an opportunity for them to support the emerging young cricket talent of Uttarakhand and promote healthy and active lifestyles through sports.
Notably, though associated with health and wellness, Patanjali earlier sponsored sports events like Kabaddi and wrestling,
