Patanjali’s Harit Kranti app to be used on pilot basis

Govt & group will work with mutual cooperation to benefit State : Dhami
Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that farmers can be benefitted a lot through information technology. All information related to the farmer’s field and crop should be available on his or her mobile phone. Stating this in a meeting with Acharya Balkrishna of Patanjali group here on Tuesday, the chief minister directed that the Harit Kranti application developed by Patanjali should be put to use on a pilot basis. If found beneficial for the farmers, it may be used on a large scale, he said.
Dhami also directed the formation of a committee under the Agriculture secretary. This committee will ascertain how the digitalisation of land documents and agriculture related information done by Patanjali can be useful for various departments in the State. The chief minister said that the public can benefit from government schemes only when all the necessary procedures are simplified and when there are no unnecessary formalities. The satisfaction of the people is also important, he said. Dhami further said that the State can be developed with the mutual cooperation of the government and institutions. The government and Patanjali will work with mutual cooperation so that the research work done by the group benefits the State. Possibilities for data sharing should also be looked into, he said.
Making a presentation in the meeting, Acharya Balkrishna informed in detail about the Harit Kranti app made for digitalisation of farming related information and the research work done by the group. Agriculture minister Ganesh Joshi, additional chief secretaries Radha Raturi, Anand Bardhan, secretaries Shailesh Bagauli, Nitesh Jha, BVRC Purushottam and other senior officials were also among those present in the meeting.
