In an action against the mining mafia, a team of revenue and mining departments seized the Srinagar based Akshita stone crusher on Monday after they found gross irregularities in its activities. The team found the stone crusher was running against the policy and mining rules of the state.
The team was headed by Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Srinagar Ajayveer Singh and Deputy director mining Dinesh Kumar. On physical inspection of the crusher they found many irregularities and violation of norms. Prior to it, a team of revenue department of Srinagar Tehsil had conducted an inspection of this crusher on April 1 and submitted its report to the SDM, Srinagar. The revenue team had found gross anomalies in the document of the land related to stone crusher, approach road, electronic metre and other records.
The team also found irregularities in the stock store of the Srinagar based stone crusher following which the action of seizer was initiated.
