Pauri police nab wanted accused from Haryana

The Pauri district police arrested an accused wanted for fraud in the district from Rohtak in Haryana on Friday. The accused man had been absconding for about one year in a case registered in the Kotdwar Kotwali in Pauri district. The police had earlier announced a cash reward of Rs 10,000 on him.

According to the police, Satish Singh, a resident of Rohtak in Haryana was absconding for nearly one year in a case registered in 2021 case under sections 420, 120 (B)  of Indian Penal Code and 66(C) (D) of IT Act.

On the instructions of the district’s senior superintendent of police Yashwant Singh Chauhan, a joint team of the police and CIU had constituted to solve the case and arrest of the accused under supervision of circle officer Ganesh Lal Kohli. Acting on information collected through electronic surveillance and tips from informants, the police team succeeded in arresting the wanted accused Satish Singh on Friday.The arrested accused told the police how he carried out the crime. He said that he had cloned an ATM card and had used it to withdraw cash from an ATM.
