A poster exhibition titled ‘10 years versus 15 years’ was inaugurated by Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Karan Mahara at the Congress Bhawan on Saturday.

Speaking on the occasion, Mahara said that in the exhibition the news published in newspapers is being shown and it shows the reality of the State. He said in the last 25 years, the BJP has ruled the State for 15 years while Congress for 10 years. Mahara said that the Congress laid a strong foundation of the State when it formed the first elected government in 2002. In its second tenure between 2012 to 2017, the Congress paved the way for creation of Gairsain as capital of the State but the fourth and fifth governments led by BJP ignored Gairsain.

Former cabinet minister Hira Singh Bisht said that the Congress governments served the general public but BJP governments exploited the people.

The vice president of Uttarakhand Congress, Suryakant Dhasmana said that earlier the exhibition was planned for three days but it has been extended for seven days in view of the demand. He said that the exhibition is divided into three galleries in which the achievements of the Congress government and the misdeeds of the BJP governments are depicted.
