The Bharatiya Janata Party has welcomed peace in Purola, Uttarkashi while stating that the intentions of Congress and other political parties to politicise the issue have been thwarted by the actions of the administration and cooperation of the public and voluntary organisations.
Talking to media persons at the party State office here on Thursday, the BJP State president Mahendra Bhatt said that Uttarkashi is peaceful due to effective arrangements made by the State government to maintain the law and order along with the cooperation of the locals and various organisations. The BJP fully understands the concerns of the public in this matter but nobody can be allowed to spoil the atmosphere of the State. He said that most of those involved in incidents of land and love Jihad are not from the communities of the State.
Referring to the Congress, he said that it is bothered by action being taken against such conspiracies and the fact that people guilty of such acts are facing the law. Families and the society will have to come forward to maintain the authentic form of Uttarkhand, said Bhatt.
