Many tattoo shops in Dehradun experienced a surge in customers who wanted to get inked to mark the consecration ceremony of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Several tattoo shop owners reported a large number of people on Monday who wanted to get the name and image of Lord Ram tattooed on their hands to remember the occasion for years to come.
Tattoo shop owner Sandy Imbert said that on Monday many people came to get the image and name of Ram tattooed on their hands. While people come for tattoos on regular days too, this day was memorable and there was an influx of people who came to imprint their belief and love for Lord Ram, he added.
Another tattoo shop owner, Vijay Arora said, “Among the Doon residents, especially teenagers, who got themselves inked on Monday, some got tattoos of Ram’s name along with the date of the consecration ceremony to make the day memorable.”
A customer, Siddharth Dobhal said that the celebration is a day to remember for many years to come. This occasion has come after a long time and much effort and to make it memorable, he inked ‘Jai Shree Ram’ on his hand along with the date of the consecration ceremony, Dobhal added.
