People will re-elect BJP based on performance, shun divisive Congress- Modi

Reiterating that the people have decided to re-elect the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttarakhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the people have seen transparent and dedicated work of the double-engine government to achieve unprecedented development in the state during the past five years. Addressing a Vijay Sankalp Sabha in Almora on Friday, Modi said that the party’s vision document for the assembly polls is full of new energy while adding that development is possible only when work is done without bias.
Targetting the Congress, the PM said that not only in Uttarakhand but in the whole nation, the policy of the Congress had been to divide all and then carry on with looting. “The double-engine government worked day and night to resolve the problems of the poor. The voters never forget good works and never leave the side of people with good intentions.” Referring to the opposition parties, he said that those who are seeking votes in the state are the very people who never put faith in the capabilities of Uttarakhand. They questioned the Covid vaccine and said that the vaccine could not reach the mountains- such is the level of faith they had in Uttarakhand. Modi said, “Today, an all-weather road is being built to connect the Char Dham. The mountains where the Congress had called construction of roads difficult, the railway is about to reach those very mountains. The development of Uttarakhand is among the top priorities for the double-engine government,” he said. Modi also referred to the provision made in the budget for Parvatmala project for mountain states, adding that Uttarakhand will especially benefit from this. He also spoke of development works and provisions made for the Kumaon region and other developments which will benefit the whole state. Appealing to the people to vote for the BJP he said, “This election is one which will reverse migration and encourage tourism. On the one side there is a government under the young leadership of Pushkar Singh Dhami which is working for tourism, progress and employment. On the other hand is the old mentality which has fuelled migration for decades in Uttarakhand. The opposition always tried to fuel a fight between Kumaon and Garhwal so that they could loot both these places whereas the double-engine government has attempted to do double work for both the regions,” said the PM. Modi further said that those who stall work are once again making tall claims to misguide the people. He exhorted the people to remember that such people know only one thing- corruption. The Congress has no affection for Uttarakhand. They are not those who talk of Uttarakhandiyat but those who divide and break, added Modi.
