The State government has fixed October 30 as the last date for online registration on the Samarth portal for admissions in the post graduate courses of Kumaon University, Nainital, Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora and Sri Dev Suman Uttarakhand University for the academic year 2023-24.
The additional secretary of higher education Ashish Srivastava has written letters to these universities in which it is mentioned that October 30 is the last date for online registration for the PG admission. The students can register themselves till 3 PM on the day. The process of admissions in these three universities will commence from October 31 to November 4 during which the preparation of merit list, counselling and payment of admission fees will be done.
As part of its digital upgradation process the higher education department is giving admission to the students through Samarth portal and digital ID cards are being provided to the students, In the portal the ‘student life cycle module’ has also started and soon the students will be able to deposit examination fee from the portal. The department is planning to issue admit cards and results from the portal.
The Education minister Dhan Singh Rawat said that Samarth governance portal has been implemented to bring uniformity in higher education in the State. He said that the State government has implemented the policy of ‘one State, one admission, one examination, one result and one convocation’ in the State.
