The Phato zone of the Corbett National Park has reopened for day visits as well as night stays from Friday. Informing this, the divisional forest officer, Prakash Chandra Arya informed that the zone had been closed for visitors following torrential rain about ten days ago.
Notably, during the monsoon, the most prominent zones, including Dhikala, Bijrani, Dhela, Jhirna, and Garjiya, remain closed, often leaving the visitors disappointed. In such a scenario, the reopening of the Phato zone offers tourists a chance to experience and enjoy wildlife.
