Following the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s announcement that Phool Dei festival would be celebrated as children’s festival, the State education department has decided to include this traditional folk festival of the state in the primary school syllabus. It is learnt that the children would learn about this festival through poems, songs and prose in Hindi, English and Sanskrit languages in the coming days. It is further learnt that the syllabus from class-II to class-V would include texts about Phool Dei in three languages. To expedite things, meetings involving education department and NCERT would be convened soon.
