Plains to witness high diurnal temperature variation

After a very brief spell of relief following light rain, the plains are likely to experience high temperature variation once again. The State meteorological centre has forecast that the diurnal variation in temperature is likely to remain 18 degrees Celsius or more at a few places in plains of the State during the next three to four days.
Further, dry weather is likely to prevail in the districts of the State today. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness mainly clear skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 30 degrees Celsius and 13 degrees Celsius respectively on Friday.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 30.2 degrees Celsius and 12.4 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 30.9 degrees Celsius and 9.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20.3 degrees Celsius and six degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 20.2 degrees Celsius and 7.8 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
