PM arrives in U’khand, offers puja at Mother Ganga’s winter abode

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived at Goddess Ganga’s winter abode of Goddess Ganga in Mukhwa-Harsil and offered prayers at the shrine. Earlier, as he had arrived at the Jolly Grant airport, he was welcomed by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The PM is scheduled to flag off a trek and bike rally and address a public meeting in Harsil Valley and inaugurate a slew of developmental projects.
Emphasising the significance of the visit, the CM said that this visit of the Prime Minister is very important in the direction of establishing Mukhimnath (Mukhwa) on the global tourism map and strengthening the cultural and religious heritage of the state.
A day before his visit, the PM reiterated his commitment to boosting tourism in Uttarakhand. “We are committed to further strengthening the economy of the State by promoting tourism in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. In this episode, I will get the opportunity to worship Maa Ganga in Mukhwa tomorrow morning at around 9.30 am,” he stated.
