The Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the country’s maiden urban transit system RAPIDX train christened as Namo Bharat train at Sahibabad station which will run between Sahibabad and Duhai Depot, covering the distance of 17 kms in 15 minutes. This is a priority corridor of the regional rail train system corridor connecting Delhi-NCR with Meerut. Importantly, he bought a ticket from the counter in the station and boarded the train accompanied by the Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, the chief minister Yogi Adityanath and those who contributed to the launching of this semi- high speed urban transit system train. While the tickets are priced between Rs 20 and Rs 100 the train will run every five minutes.
