In latest news from Dehradun, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the two-day Global Investors Summit being held in the Forest Research Institute premises of the city. Donning a pahari cap, as the PM reached the venue of the event, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed him. Soon after, he visited the summit-related exhibition. The summit commenced with cultural programmes. In his inaugural address, the CM said that the MoUs worth around Rs 44,000 crore out of Rs three lakh crore worth MoUs signed in the run-up of the summit have already been grounded, adding that the industrial units which will come up in multiple sectors are all set to generate hundreds of thousands of jobs. He further said that the State government has gone the whole hog to make this summit a huge success. He also thanked the PM for inaugurating the summit.
