Prime Minister Narendra Modi also interacted with the youths, entrepreneurs and women from various parts of the State during the State foundation day silver jubilee programme at FRI on Sunday. Women from self help groups, young innovators, those connected with tourism and adventure sports along with beneficiaries of various government schemes were also part of the interaction. These participants shared their experience to explain how government schemes, better communication and basic infrastructure and encouragement to innovation had brought about transformation in their lives and livelihood. PM Modi called these participants the new identity of Uttarakhand, a symbol of a self-reliant and empowered State. He said that the success stories of these entrepreneurs, youths and rural women will be motivational in fulfilling the dream of making India a developed nation by 2047. During the event, the PM also said that the State’s development has been inspired by public participation, community leadership and a sense of innovation. The interaction presented a glimpse of a development model based on public participation for a Viksit Uttarakhand, he said.
