The vice-chancellor of GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology Manmohan Singh Chauhan said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to attend the 17th Agricultural Science Conference slated in Pantnagar from 20 to 22 February. He said this while talking to media persons on Friday about the ongoing preparations for the conference slated. “There will be a large number of scientists and students from across the country and nine foreign countries. Besides, many international institutions like ICARDA, ICRISAT and ILRI are contributing as co-organisers in this conference,” he said, adding that this is the first time in the country that an agricultural university is hosting this conference.
He also stressed on the media’s promotional role for the upcoming conference.
