PM Modi leading religious resurgence in country: CM

Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, religious places in the country have been transformed due to which religious renaissance has taken place in the entire country.
He was addressing people after inaugurating a 12 day long Mahashivratri fair at Shri Vankhandi Mahadev temple in Chakarpur, Khatima on Wednesday.
The CM said that the PM helped in reconstruction of Kedarnath temple after which he offered prayers there and stayed overnight. He said that now more than 20 lakh devotees are visiting Kedarnath Dham every year.
Dhami said that after the PM’s visit to the Adi Kailash, the Manaskhand region has got a new identity on the world stage. He said that the government has started the Manaskhand mandir mala mission to encourage religious tourism in the Kumaon region. He said that the State government is working on promoting winter Char Dham Yatra in the State.
The CM and his wife performed Jalabhishek and prayers at the temple on the occasion of Mahashivratri.
The Chief Minister said that Vankhandi temple will be developed as a beautiful destination. Ropeway will soon be built in Maa Purnagiri temple and Sharda river front is being built in Tanakpur.
