Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid homage to the CRPF personnel killed in a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on this day six year ago and heaped praise on CRPF’s unwavering dedication to the unity and integrity of the nation in a post on X, adding that the grateful nation would never forget their sacrifice. The Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, too, paid homage to the martyred CRPF personnel, calling the terrorists arch enemies of humanity.

Notably, a suicide bomber laden with deadly explosives crashed into a bus ferrying CRPF jawans, killing 40 of them. It was followed a few days later by India launching a retaliatory attack known as the Balakot airstrike.
