In latest news from Uttarakhand, with relentless rain wreaking havoc in Uttarakhand, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and took stock of the damages being caused by excessive rain. He inquired about the loss of lives and property, the statuses of roads, Char Dham Yatra and Kanwad Yatra. This aside, the CM apprised the PM Modi of the adverse impact of heavy rain on crops and the farmers. Dhami further told the PM that the State administration, SDRF and police are functioning on alert mode, ready to combat any emergency and earthmoving machines are being used to clear the roads of debris and rubble at the earliest. He further told the PM that the developing situation is being monitored round the clock at the highest level.
