To mark the 10 years of the launch of Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY) scheme principally intended to provide integrated financial support for micro and small business units which are at the bottom of the pyramid engaged in manufacturing, services and activities allied to agriculture, the United Commercial Bank (UCO Bank) has been organising commemorative programmes and launching initiatives. UCO Bank sources said that they have sanctioned Rs 30,473 crore PMMY loans to around 24 lakhbeneficiaries.
They further said that several PMMY beneficiaries have availed higher quantum of loan from the bank which helped it in achieving its Priority Sector lending target. The scheme has also helped the bank grow its retail business since several beneficiaries have availed retail loans under Bank’s different schemes.
