The Punjab National Bank celebrated International Women’s Day in the government middle school at Rajpur Road. The bank honoured the school teachers while school bags, shoes, ration and other items were distributed among the children.
The bank’s zonal manager RD Sevak said, “Actual empowerment of women will happen only when women are financially self-reliant. The bank also plays an important role for making them self-reliant by offering them various financial schemes like Stand-up India and PNB Mahila Udhyam Nidhi Scheme among others.” Deputy zonal manager DS Bhandari circle head Rajinder Bhatia also expressed their views.
