In a programme organised by the Dehradun divisional office of Punjab National Bank, the divisional head Abhinandan Singh presented a cheque of insurance amount of Rs two lakh under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) to Neetu Ahuja, wife of late Rajesh Ahuja, an account holder of the branch near Shivalik International School.
Singh stated that the PMJJBY is a crucial social security scheme rolled out by the Central Government, through which account holders are provided a life insurance cover of Rs two lakh for an annual premium of just Rs 436. Urging all eligible bank customers to join this public welfare scheme, he said that this scheme plays a vital role in providing financial support to families in emergency situations. The sub- divisional head Anurag Saxena and other bank employees were also present on the occasion.
