The Parvatiya Natya Manch (PNM) will organise a play on the State’s famous Veer Madho Singh Bhandari to celebrate his 428th birth anniversary on May 14 at Victoria Cross Gabbar Singh Negi Azad Maidan in Dehradun.
Addressing the media here on Friday, the PNM director Baldev Rana said, “The Parvatiya Natya Manch will organise a play in Dehradun on May 14 to mark the birth anniversary of Madho Singh Bhandari. This is the first time we are celebrating the birth anniversary of Madho Singh Bhandari. Many local artistes of Uttrakhand will be a part of this programme. However the main objective of this programme is to educate the youth about the sacrifices of Madho Singh Bhandari for Uttarakhand.”
He further said that in this programme, the organisers will also felicitate ex-chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and actress Geeta Uniyal. Rawat and Uniyal have done a lot to promote regional films, he added.
