The police on Sunday arrested a man and a teenage girl for supporting and sheltering a man accused of raping a minor. The officials informed that a woman registered a complaint at Selaqui police station against a labourer named Farhan for allegedly raping her 16-year -old daughter. He also threatened to kill her if she complained about him to anybody. The police registered an FIR against him under relevant acts including the section 3/4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and soon arrested him. The officials said that it was revealed during the investigation that a 25- year- old man Dinesh Yadav and a 19- year- old young woman Muskan were aware of Farhan’s heinous crimes. They allegedly supported him and gave him shelter to evade police arrest, as per the officials. Considering this, the police arrested both from Selaqui’s Jamanpur area on Sunday and sent them to jail.
