A man has lodged a complaint with the police about a week after his child was allegedly attacked by a pit bull dog kept off the leash by a resident in the area the child was visiting. The father of the injured child has lodged a complaint against the owner of the dog at the Kankhal police station.
While submitting his complaint at Kankhal police station, the man said that his child had gone to his aunt’s home in the Mishra Garden area. A family living in the neighborhood of the aunt’s house had reportedly left their pit bull off the leash where the children were playing.
The dog reportedly attacked the child causing injuries on the hands and stomach of the child. The child was treated in a private hospital for four days. On Sunday, the father gave an application in the police station following which Kankhal police station inspector Mukesh Chauhan said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered and investigation has been started.
