In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Nainital police assisted by special operation group (SOG) busted an illegal casino running from a hotel in Dolmar area and took into custody 21 men and 12 women found gambling and consuming illegal liquor. Police informed that most of them hail from Delhi-NCR. However, police team has not yet confirmed whether any prostitution racket was also running from the hotel. Police swooped on the hotel on receiving tip-offs that some men and women from Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi-NCR had been gambling and boozing in an illegal casino running from there. Police further said that 12 bar dancers had also been picked up during the raid. After cases were registered at Tallital police station against those arrested, the police have impounded four vehicles found parked in the hotel premises. The manager of the hotel is absconding, the SSP Nainital Prahlad Narayan Meena said and added that those arrested have been presented in the court. He further said that the police are going all-out to arrest the fugitive hotel manager.
