Police bust prostitution racket in two hotels in Haridwar

A joint team of Kotowali police and anti-human trafficking cell has arrested managers of two hotels in Haridwar on the charge of engaging women from outside the state in prostitution. On receiving tips of sex racket being run from two hotels, police entered posing as customers and caught the accused red-handed. During the raid, the joint team of police and anti-human trafficking cell freed two women from Punjab who were brought here to be engaged in flesh trade. These women later told police that they had come to Haridwar in search of jobs and met a woman named Swapna Rajput at the railway station who took them to the managers of the hotel Hill View. Later they were engaged in prostitution through allurement of money in two hotels. Police arrested the managers of the two hotels and are on the lookout for the other accused. The managers who have been arrested are being interrogated now.
