In latest news from Uttarakhand, the superintendent of police Uttarkashi Arpan Yaduvanshi extended best wishes to the people on the 64th foundation day of the district. While lauding the people’s cooperation with police, he assured that the district police would never be found wanting in ensuring smooth life and peace for them. Notably, Uttarkashi district came into being as part of the erstwhile Uttar Pradesh on February 24 1960. This district is extremely important from religious and natural point of view as it is home to the two of the revered Char Dhams- Gangotri and Yamunotri- where two sacred rivers Ganga and Yamuna originate. To mark the occasion, the district police hosted a programme in its headquarters which was attended by the police brass and personnel.
