Police & corporation conduct joint anti-encroachment drive in Haridwar

Haridwar police and the Municipal Corporation of Haridwar launched a drive jointly and removed encroachments from Rodi Belwala area.
Led by the circle officer (CO) City, Shishupal Singh Negi, the joint team carried out a special campaign at Vishnu Ghat, Chamgadar Tapu and Rodi Belwala among other places under Kotwali police station limits. After the removal of encroachments, the encroachers were warned of stricter actions in case they resort to illegal encroachment again.
Senior Haridwar police officials said that they would act strictly on encroachment in view of the approaching Char Dham Yatra. They appealed to traders to desist from encroachment. They vehicle owners were asked to park only in the designated parking areas. They urged all for cooperation to facilitate smooth traffic movement in the city ahead of and during the annual pilgrimage.
