In latest Dehradun news, with heavy rain lashing Dehradun, several areas of the city are becoming waterlogged and those who are living close to rivers are living under threat of being swept away.  Keeping this scenario in mind, all the police personnel have been directed to evacuate these people to safer places while showing utmost sensitivity towards their plight and to remain mobile while alerting the people living in these unsafe places. As heavy rain pounded Dehradun, inundating a large part of the city, police personnel swung into action and helped in draining out the accumulated water from the roads. This happened in a Nehru Colony area where roads were submerged in water and vehicle movement was disrupted. However, a police team led by the Nehru Colony police station in-charge reached these places promptly and helped in the traffic movement becoming normal.  Likewise, as the news of rain water entering houses in Suman Nagar reached the Nehru Colony police station, a police team reached and evacuated the affected people to safer places. At the same time, police are engaged in alerting people over loudhailers as the spell of heavy rain continues unabated.
