Police fix routes for Mussoorie today

In order to avoid heavy traffic jams on the occasion of Christmas, the police have fixed some routes for vehicles to and from Mussoorie. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and the Dehradun senior superintendent of police (SSP) Janmejaya Khanduri informed that vehicles of the tourists arriving from Haridwar and Rishikesh for Mussoorie will be sent there via the routes of Harrawala – Mohkampur Flyover – Jogiwala – U-turn at Kailash Hospital – Chhe Number Puliya – Ladpur – Sahastradhara Crossing – IT Park – Krishali Chowk – Sai Mandir junction – Rajpur – Old Mussoorie Road and then Kuthal Gate to Mussoorie.

Routes for the vehicles from Roorkee and Saharanpur will be ISBT – Shimla Bypass Chowk – St Jude Chowk – Ballupur Chowk – Garhi Cantt Chowk – Post Office junction – CSD junction – Johri Village junction – Mussoorie Road – Kuthal Gate. The routes for the vehicles returning from Mussoorie to Haridwar, Rishikesh, Roorkee and Saharanpur will be Kuthal Gate – Old Rajpur Road – Sai Mandir junction – Krishali Chowk – IT Park – Sahastradhara Crossing – Ladpur – Chhe Number Puliya – Jogiwala to Haridwar, Rishikesh and to Roorkee and Saharanpur by taking a U-turn from Haridwar Road. Khanduri said that police will display the routes for the day at various entry points for the tourists through displays too.
