In latest news from Dehradun, police ordered the advocate Vikesh Negi to stay out of the boundaries of the district for six months while slapping under Goonda Act on him. A district police team took him to the border of Dehradun and Tehri districts and saw him walking into Tehri district while carrying a suitcase with a person playing dhol nagara.
A senior district police officer said that several cases of land fraud and threatening had been lodged against the advocate. “Negi tried to grab land fraudulently and even gave death threats to some. And he was doing all this under the garb of an RTI activist,” a senior police officer said.
