Police get remand of two accused in Reliance Jewels robbery case

The Dehradun police have got the transit remand of the two accused in the Reliance Jewels robbery case who were arrested in Bihar on Wednesday. The police will conduct a thorough interrogation of both the accused Amrit Kumar and Vishal Kumar once they reach Dehradun, said the Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh. He said that both the accused were involved in planning the robbery and funding the robbers who looted the jewellery store in Dehradun on November 9. He said that both the accused were presented in Hajipur court in Bihar on Thursday. The police got their transit remand and the team along with both accused departed for Dehradun on Friday. He said that the police have also been raiding hideouts of the gang involved in the robbery in various cities. He said that besides raiding their hideouts in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar, the police late on Thursday also raided the hideout of the two robbers involved in the Dehradun robbery who have been identified as Prince Kumar and Vikram Kushwaha by the police. He said that they both have a flat in Delhi’s sector 24 Rohini and the police have gathered crucial evidence from there related to the robbery. He said that Dehradun police are putting in all efforts into nabbing the robbers and with each passing day, they are getting closer to arresting the accused.
