In latest news from Dehradun, in course of anti-narcotics drive, the Doon police arrested two drug smugglers and seized from them 1.5 kg marijuana and 122 gm cannabis. Notably, the Doon police have been conducting relentless drives under the direction of the Dehradun senior superintendent of police Ajai Singh to stamp out drug smuggling while acting on the pledge of the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for ‘Drug- Free Devbhoomi by 2025′. One of the arrested drug smugglers has been identified as Shamim (22), resident of Vasant Bihar though originally hailing from Bijnor, Uttar Pradesh. According to the police, the other accused is a resident of Sahaspur in Dehradun.
