The number belonged to Gautam Panwar residing in the Ranipokhri area. When he was called in for investigation, he confessed to the murder. According to the accused, he had promised the victim that he would get her a job in the same hospital where he had worked for the past 25 years but he failed to do it. The accused has alleged that he and the victim also had a physical relationship and the victim had started blackmailing him on this basis, informed the SSP.

The police said that the accused has alleged that the victim had pressurised him to get her a job at the same hospital he worked in or she would reveal their relationship to his family members and his boss.
