In latest news from Dehradun, police nabbed the eighth accused of the sensational, daylight robbery at a branded jewellery showroom in upscale Rajpur Road on November 9 from Pilibhit in Uttar Pradesh. Police also informed that the accused had attacked the police team taking him to Dehradun near Premnagar area, prompting the cops to shoot him in the leg. Sharing details of the arrest at a media conference, the Dehradun SSP Ajai Singh and the SSP Special Task Force (STF) Ayush Agarwal said that the nabbed accused was identified as Vikram Kushwaha who hails from Panapur in Vaishali district of Bihar. The accused would drive car when the gang was out to commit robbery. They further informed that on the day of the heist in Dehradun, Kushwaha had driven the alleged robbers from Haridwar to Dehradun and was on guard outside the jewllery showroom when the heist was being committed. They added that teams had been sent to arrest two members of the gang-Rahul and Avinash-on whose arrest police had announced reward, assuring that all the gang members would be arrested soon.
