In latest news from Doon, the district police during late- night raids on about 70 spa centres arrested four persons, including a woman. Besides, they rescued five girls who were allegedly being used in flesh trade and slapped 29 chalans on 26 spa centres found on the wrong side of the laws.
Sharing this information, the SSP Dehradun Ajai Rai said that they had taken actions against those centres where no CCTV cameras were found installed. “Besides, we found no register there containing details of the customers. Nor did we find verification details of those employed,” he said, adding that such centres must strictly follow the rules or else would be penalised under the laws.
