He informed that on the basis of interrogation of the accused during PCR, the police recovered a .32 bore country-made pistol and three live cartridges, used by him in the shootout, from the rented house of the accused’s lady friend Shalu Bhardwaj. He told the police during interrogation that after the shootout late on June 16, he went to Bharadwaj’s house with his accomplices Manish and Yogesh, where he hid the pistol and cartridges and fled from there with them. The SSP informed that the accused’s lady friend is the wife of former gangster Yatendra Chaudhary.. He said that the police have declared Bhardwaj wanted on charges of giving shelter to the accused after he committed a heinous crime. She had the opportunity to inform the police about the pistol and Ramvir soon after the three accused visited her but she failed to inform them as per the law. The police will nab her soon, he added. A shootout occurred at Dobhal Chowk in the Nehrugram area of Raipur on June 16 at night. A man Deepak Badola alias Ravi Badola died and two men- Subhash Chhetri and Manoj Negi sustained serious injuries in the shootout. Both are undergoing treatment at Mahant Indiresh hospital.
