Police recover stolen car, culprits escape

The police have recovered a car which was stolen at gunpoint in Bhagwanpur area. The two accused managed to escape from the scene. The police have registered a case against two unknown persons under relevant sections.
At about 1 AM on Thursday, the Bahadarabad police received information that three robbers had looted a car from Bhagwanpur police station area. The victim was pushed out on the roadside by the culprits. While acting on the information, the police set up barricading and began checking vehicles. Near the Pathri bridge the police signaled a car to stop but the driver sped ahead and even broke through a barrier.
The police had already parked a truck about 300 metres further on learning that a speeding vehicle was approaching. The persons in the car abandoned the vehicle on the road and escaped into the bushes. Bahadarabad station officer Nitesh Sharma said that the car had been handed over to the Bhagwanpur police. Cases have been registered against unknown accused in Bahadrabad police station and Bhagwanpur police station under various sections.
