In latest news from Dehradun, in an important operation, Dehradun police sealed an illegally acquired property of the notorious drug smuggler turned gangster Kapil Dev worth Rs 50 lakhs. Besides, cases of assault, robbery, theft and drug trafficking have been registered against him under the stringent Gangster Act. Notably, the SSP Dehradun Ajai Singh directed the police department to impound the illegally amassed property of the gangster to break the financial backbone of his drug trafficking racket. He further informed that the police department is now engaged in identifying such properties of other habitual criminals located in Dehradun and in the coming days, these properties would be confiscated too.
